Program Features

1. A Special Audition Opportunity

Without the need to travel to Korea, participants may take part in auditions for renowned ballet companies based in six major Korean cities, conducted entirely through video submissions.

Audition Fee: 5,000 JPY
This accessible fee is designed to make it easier for promising young dancers to take their first step toward a professional career.

 

2. Travel and Living Support

To help reduce concerns about daily life after relocation, we provide optional support services according to each participant’s needs (※additional costs apply).

Housing arrangements

Enrollment in health insurance

Assistance with mobile phone contracts

Introduction to private lessons

Our local staff will provide attentive support to ensure that each participant can begin their new life abroad with confidence.

 

3. Evaluation and Achievements During Training

・After 6 months abroad: Participants will receive an evaluation report from their affiliated ballet company.
Dance Planner CEO Kim Dong Uk will provide professional guidance for further development.

・Upon completion of the 10-month program, participants will be formally provided with:

⑴ Official records of stage performances

⑵ Archival stage photography

⑶ An official certificate of program completion

These documents will serve as important evidence of achievements during the training period and as valuable credentials for future career development.

 

4. Career Support After Completion

Even if participants are not appointed as full company members upon completion, further career opportunities will be supported, including:

Auditions for ballet companies in Korea and Europe

Admission to ballet departments at universities in Korea

 

5. Visa Support

Securing or renewing a visa is often one of the most significant challenges in pursuing a career abroad.
This program provides guidance after the expiration of the Working Holiday Visa, with Dance Planner, an officially qualified organization, assisting with necessary procedures.

Consultation regarding transition to work or student visas

Guidance on required documents and application procedures

Personalized advice according to individual circumstances

Through this support, participants can continue their stay with peace of mind, while preparing to advance to the next stage of their professional careers.

Regarding Travel Visa
Successful applicants of this program are required to obtain a Korean Working Holiday Visa.
(Visa application must be handled individually by each participant.)

 

Please note that visa processing may take longer than expected, especially during peak periods.
Therefore, successful applicants are requested to begin the visa application procedure without delay after acceptance.

Required Documents for Audition

Application Requirements

⑴ Video Audition (Data Submission)

  • Classical Ballet Variation (1 piece)

  • Contemporary Dance (1 piece)

  • Self-Introduction Video (About 1-minute personal introduction)
    Note: All videos must be recorded within the past 6 months.

 

⑵ Photos (One of each)

  • Headshot (front-facing)

  • Full-body photo (wearing leotard and tights)

 

⑶ Resume (Including the following information)

  • Height and Weight

  • Ballet Training History (teachers and schools attended)

  • Ballet Competition Awards

  • Educational Background (Most recent degree or diploma earned)

Screening Method

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ballet dancers aged 18 and above (regardless of gender)

  • Height requirements: Please refer to each ballet company’s page for specific height criteria.

  • Applicants must be seriously pursuing a professional career as a ballet dancer.

  • Applicants under the age of 20 are required to submit a letter of consent from a parent or legal guardian.

 

Audition Process

The audition will be judged by the artistic directors and instructors of six major city ballet companies in South Korea.

Additionally, Mr. Kim Dong Uk , the Director of Dance Planner and the General Supervisor of this training program for over 10 years, will participate in the audition process, bringing an international perspective to the evaluation.

About Program Fee

Program Fee

800,000 JPY (including tax) / Full 10-month program

What the Program Fee Includes

  • Participation in ballet company class lessons (at least 3 times per week)

  • Eligibility to perform in company productions
    (Note: A performance fee will be paid separately by the ballet company for each performance.)

 

What the Program Fee Does Not Include

  • Housing and living expenses (e.g., rent, meals)

  • Leotards, ballet wear, ballet shoes, and other personal practice items

 

Payment Method

  • Payment accepted by credit card only.

  • For those who wish to pay in installments, please arrange a payment plan directly with your credit card company.

 

For Your Peace of Mind

To help participants plan ahead, here are estimated living costs in addition to the program fee:

  • Housing: Approximately 80,000 JPY〜/month (varies depending on location and housing type)

  • Meals: Approximately 50,000 JPY〜/month (depending on lifestyle)

 

We also offer optional support for housing and other living arrangements.
