Career
Miki Tokubuchi began studying ballet at the age of six and later trained under Mako Todo in Hiroshima.
In 1996, she moved to Belgium to study at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. During her studies, she performed in classical ballet and contemporary works, including SQUARES.
In 1999, she joined the The Tokyo Ballet. During her time with the company, she appeared in numerous classical productions including Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Don Quixote, as well as Maurice Béjart’s M.
She currently serves as the director of
“Miki Balletac Ademy” and the ballet workshop program “Ballet in Tokyo” in Japan. In addition, she teaches at the Dutch dance company deStilte and the Belgian dance studio Balanze, while also working internationally as a guest teacher and workshop instructor.
